Trapped in car, two girls choke to death in TN

Two girls, aged four and seven, suffocated to death after they were trapped in a car for more than two hours on Thursday in a village in Kallakurichi district. Passersby found the two children unconscious in the car parked near their house. The girls were taken to the Tirukovilur government hospital where doctors declared them dead. Police have detained the owner of the car for questioning. E Rajeshwari, 7, and A Vanitha, 4, were daughters of two farm workers from Kuladeepamangalam in the district. The incident took place on Thursday evening when they were playing on the street in front of their houses. They climbed into the car belonging to their neighbour Raja. The vehicle was earlier damaged in an accident.

Kerala: Gold meant for terror activities: NIA

The National Investigation Agency, probing the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case, on Monday submitted in the special court that the smuggled gold was meant for “terrorism purposes” and not jewellers. Body of actress Naya Rivera found in California lake

The body of missing "Glee" star Naya Rivera was found Monday near the surface of a Southern California lake, authorities said. Students getting 95%+ in CBSE Class 12 surges

Following a revision in the marking scheme due to Covid-19 disruption, the pass percentage of Class XII CBSE exam has touched an all-time high of 88.8% and a student has for the first time scored 100 in all six subjects. The number of students scoring 90% & above breached the one lakh mark while students scoring 95% and above more than doubled to 38,686 from last year’s 17,693.
